Details about unit system

There are two units for distance in Afanche3D. One is application system unit. This is the unit the app uses when you do 3D measurements. Another unit is file importing unit. Afanche3D considers the 3D data you are opening is in this file importing unit. Afanche3D automatically converts 3D data from file importing unit into application system unit in case they are different. To change application system unit, please go to "Tools" menu, click "Options", in the "General" tab of the popped dialog, change "Length Unit" to any unit you would like. It should look like the following picture:

When you open a 3D model file, Afanche3D will popup a dialog to ask the unit of 3D data in this particular file. If you always open 3D files in same unit, you can mark "don't show this dialog for future operation" and Afanche3D will automatically use the file importing unit you chose last time for future file opening. The popup dialog looks like the following picture:

If you marked "don't show this dialog for future operation", but sometimes, you do need to change file importing unit for a particular 3D file, you can re-enable the dialog. Just go to "Tools" menu, click "Options", in "General" tab of the popped up dialog, uncheck "Hide File Opening Optoin Dialog"
